Parlee Farms Field Trip Reminder

FIELD TRIP REMINDER!

Dear Kindergarten Families,

We are very excited for our field trip on Friday!  Please read through the reminders and contact your child’s kindergarten teacher with any questions.  Farm details:

Parlee Farms
95 Farwell Road
Tyngsboro, MA 01879
978-649-3854

For all families:
  • Friday’s weather calls for a high of 55 degrees in Tynsgboro.  It is suggested that students dress in warm layers for the weather as we will be outside for the duration of our trip.

  • Regular school hours still apply, please plan for the normal 8:10 arrival and 2:30 dismissal.  Buses will depart Stratton School at 8:30am, please be sure to be on time for school!

  • There will be no morning snack at school.  Please be sure your kindergartner eats a large breakfast!

  • Lunch must be from home and in a disposable bag!   Everything must be disposable (i.e. water bottle, juice box, Ziploc bags, etc.).  Students will carry their lunches with them onto the bus, will eat their lunches at the farm, and dispose of everything there - we are not bringing anything back onto the bus with us except our pumpkin! Lunches should be peanut/tree nut free.  Backpacks will be left at school.

  • Students will be responsible for carrying their pumpkin onto the bus with them and back to school.  Pumpkins will go home with students at the end of the day.

  • We plan to be back at Stratton by 1:00pm.

  • An afternoon snack can be eaten in the classroom upon our return.  Snacks should be packed separately from lunches and must be peanut/tree nut free.

For chaperones:
  • Chaperones must provide their own transportation but are welcome to follow the buses leaving Stratton at 8:30am.

  • Chaperones will be responsible for looking after his/her child and a small group of students as well as their lunches.  Each classroom teacher will contact chaperones individually with the group of student’s names he/she will be chaperoning by Thursday night.

We are looking forward to a very exciting first field trip!

Thank you,
The K Team
