Arrival Procedures

Dear Kindergarten Families,

   As the weather begins to cool down the Kindergarten arrival procedure will soon change.  We will start our new arrival procedure on November 3^rd and continue through the Winter until the warm weather returns.  Please plan to drop off your child any time between 8:00-8:10 and say goodbye outside of the kindergarten doors. Students will then independently make their way down the kindergarten hallway, under the safety patrols supervision, and will be greeted by their teachers inside of their classroom. This plan is put into place to help promote student independence as well as offer an alternative to waiting outside or in the cafeteria on cold mornings or during inclement weather. 
   However, between now and November 3^rd, if the weather is rainy or snowy (hopefully not snowy yet), you may begin practicing this by dropping your son/daughter at the kindergarten doors.  Until then, students will line up normally outside of the kindergarten doors with safety patrol. Please contact your child’s teacher if you have any questions.
