Before Pictures...

I wanted to take the opportunity to share some before pictures of what our classroom looked like at the end of the summer. I have worked tirelessly to make our classroom warm, inviting, safe and a community in which all my students can learn, grow, and be successful!

I know at this point it can be difficult to envision but stay tuned for the after pictures that will be posted on Monday!

Meet Mrs. Nolan

Hello there,
My name is Mrs. Ashly Nolan and I will be your child's kindergarten teacher this year. This is my very first year in Arlington and I am beyond thrilled to be here! This blog will be one of the many outlets you can look to for information about what's going on in our classroom throughout the school year.  I thought I would use my first blog post to introduce myself and give you a little insight about who I am.

It all started back in 2011 where I began my teaching career in Waltham as a Pre-Kindergarten Paraprofessional in an Intensive Needs classroom. During this time, I was attending Lesley University to earn my Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education. After working as a paraprofessional for two years, I moved into a Grade 1 Inclusion classroom while completing my student teaching. In December 2013, I completed my Master’s degree and went back to assisting in the Pre-Kindergarten classroom to finish out the school year. This summer I was given the opportunity to join the Stratton team as a Kindergarten teacher and that's how I got where I am!
When I am not in school, I enjoy spending time with my husband Mark and our little Chihuahua Junior. I also enjoy teaching and participating in dance and Zumba classes.

I am so excited to be a part of the Arlington community and I look forward to spending the year with your child!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Nolan
