Science: Pumpkins

Today during science we did some exploration with pumpkins. First, we read The Pumpkin Book By Gail Gibbons.

Next, we made predictions as to whether or not our pumpkins would sink or float.

Lastly, we measured our pumpkins with cubes, counted its lines, determined whether it was small, medium, or large, and drew a picture of it. Be sure to ask your child about it.

Thank you for all of the generous pumpkin donations!

Science: Catapults

On Friday, we learned all about catapults during science. First, we watched a short video to see how other students buildt catapults.

Then, we made predictions about what materials would knock down a castle once we made our catapults.

Lastly, we made our catapults out of paper cups and spoons and tested out the different materials to see what would knock the castles over.

Be sure to ask your child about it!
