Dr. Seuss Day!

On Friday, March 6th we will be celebrating Dr. Seuss’ birthday.  In honor of the author’s birthday and the book “Green Eggs and Ham” we will be eating green yogurt and green pancakes!  Students can wear their pajamas and bring one of their favorite stuffed animals to school for the day.  But please no slippers!  We will eat breakfast during our regular morning snack time so you will not need to pack a morning snack! If your child has a food allergy or does not like the snack choice please let me know in advance and pack a snack for your child.

Breakfast Menu:

Green eggs: Vanilla yogurt dyed green

Ham: Green pancakes with maple syrup

We will be celebrating with a variety of “Dr. Seuss” activities as well as reading several different Dr. Seuss books.  The children are very excited to try some green pancakes!

Book Buddies: Valentine's Day Cards for Nursing Home

Today we met with our third grade book buddies. We wanted to brighten the day of some senior citizens in Arlington at the Sunrise nursing home. Students worked with their buddies to create Valentine's Day cards that will be hand-delivered. The students talked about how it would make the senior citizens feel if they received cards from the students at Stratton. Check it out!

Have a great weekend! Let's hope for no snow!
