Sink or Float (Science)

On Friday, we made predictions about different items that we thought would sink or float.
Next, we tested our predictions to see if we were correct and thought about the reasons why.
Make sure to ask your child about it!

Turkey Puzzle

Today we made a turkey puzzle during literacy centers. Our first job was to cut out all the pieces. We had to remember to keep our thumbs up!
Next, we had to organize all of the pieces and glue them to our papers.
The last step was to color in all of our turkey pieces using the five color challenge. Make sure to ask your child about it!

Halloween in K-1

Good afternoon,
We had such a fun day today in K-1. First, we all came to school dressed in our Halloween costume's and paraded through all of Stratton School.
Next, we came back to our classroom and had a delicious mystery snack. Check out our snacks...
After snack, we had fun doing five different Halloween themed activities with some parent volunteers.
Thank you to all of the parent volunteers that helped us today! Happy Halloween from K-1!

Science: Catapults

Today, during science, we learned all about catapults used during the Medieval times.
We made predictions about what objects would knock our castles down...
and we tested our catapults out!
Make sure to ask your child about it!
